PaperOrg is built for sensitive family paperwork — insurance, tax, medical, vehicle, home and identity documents. Here is exactly how we keep it safe, in plain language.
Encrypted at rest and in transit
Every file is encrypted on our servers with XChaCha20-Poly1305 (libsodium), and protected by TLS while it travels to and from your device.
Independently tested
An independent white-box penetration test in July 2026 brought together six reviewers and covered authentication, access control, injection, and file-upload handling. Every actionable finding was fixed.
Backups that restore
We take nightly backups, encrypt them with a key that never lives on the server, and copy them off-site to separate storage. Their integrity is checked automatically every week, and restore drills are part of our operations — because a backup you can’t restore is not a backup.

You stay in control
Your documents are yours. You can review, correct, re-file, export or delete anything at any time. PaperOrg does the sorting in the background, but you always have the final say.
You control family access
Choose who can see shared family papers, and keep private documents private. A member’s private papers are never visible to anyone else in the household.
We never sell your data
Your family documents are not an advertising product. We don’t sell or rent your data, and we never will.
Export anytime
Download your documents as a ZIP whenever you want. Your paperwork is yours to take with you — there’s no lock-in.
Delete on your terms
Delete a document and it goes to Trash, where you can restore it for 14 days — then it’s permanently removed (encrypted backups roll off within 90 days). Close your account from Settings → Privacy and we purge your data within 30 days.
